I painted this 8x10 in the backyard of our guesthouse in Dali. Dali is a heritage town around a lake in Yunnan, southern China. It's a bit of China that still looks like, well, China. Along with Lijang (100 clicks up the road toward Tibet, this is one of my favourate areas of the vast country.
